Win the Scholarship

The scholarships nobody lists — from the foundations’ own IRS filings

Every private foundation that accepts scholarship applications must tell the IRS who to contact, how to apply, its deadlines, and its restrictions. We read a full year of those filings and published every program with real application details — 3,165 of them, free to browse. Most never appear on Fastweb, Scholarships.com, or anywhere else.

Why these are worth your time

Big scholarship sites list the famous, high-competition awards. Private-foundation scholarships are the opposite: local, specific, and often reachable only by mail — which means far fewer applicants even know they exist. The filing tells you exactly what the foundation wants. Start with your state or the next deadline month.

Scholarships by state

Grouped by where the foundation is based. Many restrict awards to their own county or schools; some are open nationally — each page quotes the filing’s restriction language.

If you want help with the application itself

Finding scholarships here is free and stays free. If you want help applying, our $199 application coaching builds a blueprint of what committees review, prompts your strongest material out of you, and puts a real person’s margin notes on your finished draft before you submit. We never write it for you — every word you submit is your own.

How coaching works
Most listings on this site are compiled from the foundation’s own IRS Form 990-PF filing — the public record where foundations that accept applications must state who to contact, how to apply, any deadlines, and any restrictions. Listings under /award/ are a second, separate source: read directly from the foundation’s own public scholarship portal, with a link to that source on every page. Filings are annual and portals change between cycles, so details can change: always confirm the current deadline and requirements with the foundation before applying. This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any foundation listed. Scholarship information here is free; we charge only for optional application coaching, and we never write your application for you.
