Program description

"The purpose of the College Bound Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to deserving African American high school seniors from the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Since Omicron Eta Omega Chapter’s chartering in 1984, community support of fundraising programs such as Little Miss Fashionetta,® Salute to Black Men and the Black College Bus Tour, have enabled the chapter to award numerous scholarships and book stipends to students. The College Bound Scholarship is made available through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated,® Omicron Eta Omega Chapter and the Ivy Foundation of St. Louis. Eligibility Applicants must Be an African American high school senior Have a cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale Attend a four-year college in the 2026 fall semester Be a resident of the St. Louis metropolitan area (St. Louis city, the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Franklin, Warren or Lincoln, or the Illinois counties of Madison, St. Clair, Monroe, Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey or Macoupin) Previous recipients of any Omicron Eta Omega Chapter scholarship and family members of the chapter’s scholarship judging panel are not eligible for these scholarships. The funds for this scholarship will be disbursed Fall 2026. Proof of enrollment must be provided by Sept 1, 2026. Direct questions to: [email protected]"
