Program description

"The Amuse Bouche Culinary Scholarship was established in 2020 by Kevin and Diane Klein. Kevin grew up in Lancaster county and Diane in Saunders county. Diane’s first college degree was an Associate’s from Southeast Community College in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. During the COVID -19 pandemic, many restaurants and employees suffered heavy losses. These establishments are vital to our communities and state as they serve many patrons for a place to gather, celebrate, mourn and connect. This scholarship was born to encourage the trade of cooking amazing food to keep our community and people connected, in good times and in bad. To be eligible to apply you must be a graduating senior or former graduate of any public or private high school in Cass, Lancaster, or Saunders counties in Nebraska. Preference will be given to those from Ashland-Greenwood High School. Applicants must have maintained a high school GPA of 2.5 or above and be pursuing a degree in Nutrition or Culinary Arts/Restaurant Management at a 2-year or 4-year not for profit public institution of higher education in Nebraska with a preference for those attending a 2-year institution. Preference will be given to female applicants and financial need will be considered."

Where this information comes from

This page is published from Lincoln Community Foundation's own public scholarship portal (lcf.academicworks.com), read and verified 2026-09-03. This is a different source from most of this site's listings, which come from IRS Form 990-PF filings — see how we source scholarships. Portals change between cycles, so always confirm current details on the source listing before applying.

Most listings on this site are compiled from the foundation’s own IRS Form 990-PF filing — the public record where foundations that accept applications must state who to contact, how to apply, any deadlines, and any restrictions. Listings under /award/ are a second, separate source: read directly from the foundation’s own public scholarship portal, with a link to that source on every page. Filings are annual and portals change between cycles, so details can change: always confirm the current deadline and requirements with the foundation before applying. This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any foundation listed. Scholarship information here is free; we charge only for optional application coaching, and we never write your application for you.
