Program description

"The Arlene S. Hawks Fine Arts Scholarship is open to graduates of East Aurora High School, West Aurora High School, Marmion Academy, or Rosary High School. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and majoring in fine arts. Preference will be given to graduates of East Aurora High School. These scholarships were established by Dick Hawks in honor of his wife, Arlene, who retired from East Aurora High School in 2005 after 32 years of service. She was the Artistic Drama Director, teaching theater and producing plays at East High and throughout the community. Mr. Hawks served on the Waubonsee Community College Foundation Board of Directors from 2004 to 2022. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses."
