Autobahn Fort Worth Scholarship

"Criteria for eligibility: Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College. Must be admitted into and making satisfactory progress toward intend to an associate degree or certificate of completion in automotive technology. Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.5 OR if a first-time TCC student, must have a high school diploma, a high school equivalent GPA , or a passing GED score. Must enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) for the period of the award. Criteria for renewal: Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved and a minimum of 6 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) are completed in the fall. Must have worked as a paid intern or apprentice with the service department of an Autobahn Fort Worth dealership during the fall semester or must have accepted such an internship or apprenticeship for the upcoming spring semester. Additional Considerations: High School Outreach: Priority may be given to applicants that are graduating high school seniors or recent graduates (within the past two years) with an interest in the automotive industry. Recommendation Letter: Applicants are encouraged (but not required) to submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or mentor highlighting their interest in and commitment to the automotive field. Financial Need: While financial need is not a strict requirement, priority may be given to students demonstrating financial barriers to education. Community Engagement: Preference may be given to applicants who have participated in automotive-related extracurricular activities, internships, or community service."
