Classified Employee Organization Outstanding Student Employee Scholarship

"This scholarship provides financial assistance to a student workers enrolled at HACC . 1. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. 2. Students must have been employed as a student worker at any point within the 12 months prior to the time of application. Employment may have started before the beginning of the 12-month period, but some part of it must fall within the 12 month time frame. 3. Students must have been employed for a minimum of 12 continuous weeks and for a minimum of 10 hours per week. 4. Students must submit a letter of recommendation from the student worker’s supervisor or other individual familiar with the student’ s employment performance as a student worker at HACC . The letter must address the following: a. Verify that the applicant was employed as a student worker for at least 12 continuous weeks and provide start and end dates of employment b. Verify that the applicant worked a minimum of 10 hours per week c. Describe how the applicant displayed outstanding or exemplary performance as a student worker 5. Applicant must write a short essay in which he/she responds to the following: a. Explain how your experience as a student employee will help you reach your career goals. b. What motivates or motivated you to do an outstanding job in your student worker position? c. Describe what this award would mean to you."
