Program description
"The Complete Children’s Health Scholarship was established in 2023 in honor of the practice’s founder, Dr. Bradford Brabec. In 1995 Dr. Brabec, a general pediatrician, began the physician owned and directed pediatric practice now known as Complete Children’s Health. Throughout his long career, Dr. Brabec worked tirelessly to advance pediatric causes and provide comprehensive healthcare to children and adolescents in Lincoln and the surrounding communities. This scholarship aims to provide support to students planning to stay in Nebraska and pursue a career in healthcare to enable future generations of Nebraskans to obtain high quality medical care within their local community. To apply, you must be a graduating senior from a public or private high school in Lancaster County, Nebraska, who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university in Nebraska and pursue a degree in health care (physician, advanced practice practitioner, nurse, or other allied health field). Preference will be given to students who express a desire to remain in Nebraska. Financial need may be considered. Additional application requirement: Special essay – What specific healthcare field do you plan to pursue? What inspired you to pursue this and what are your future career goals?"

Where this information comes from
This page is published from Lincoln Community Foundation's own public scholarship portal (lcf.academicworks.com), read and verified 2026-09-03. This is a different source from most of this site's listings, which come from IRS Form 990-PF filings — see how we source scholarships. Portals change between cycles, so always confirm current details on the source listing before applying.
Most listings on this site are compiled from the foundation’s own IRS Form 990-PF filing — the public record where foundations that accept applications must state who to contact, how to apply, any deadlines, and any restrictions. Listings under /award/ are a second, separate source: read directly from the foundation’s own public scholarship portal, with a link to that source on every page. Filings are annual and portals change between cycles, so details can change: always confirm the current deadline and requirements with the foundation before applying. This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any foundation listed. Scholarship information here is free; we charge only for optional application coaching, and we never write your application for you.
