Program description

"UCLA College Crankstart Transfer Scholarship recipients are selected from among applicants for the UCLA College Transfer Alliance Program ( TAP ) Scholarship and the UCLA College Reentry Scholarship Program. Crankstart Transfer Scholars must have transferred from a California community college within the last four years, are at the undergraduate level and pursuing their first baccalaureate degree, have submitted a FAFSA (https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa) or Dream Act Application (https://dream.csac.ca.gov/landing) and are eligible for need-based financial aid at UCLA , can demonstrate academic qualifications, achievements and promise, and a commitment to obtaining their degree. Applicants must be either full- or part-time students during the award period. The maximum annual award amounts are $6,000 per student. The amounts may be pro-rated for part-time students. Preference goes to newly matriculating students. Scholarships are renewable as long as recipients continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree."
