"The Creative Writing Scholarship was established in 1993 by the English department faculty to encourage academic and artistic excellence in creative writing. This scholarship is awarded to incoming Riverside City College students based upon writing samples of either a short story of up to 10 pages or 3-5 poems (original work only) they submit for faculty review. Basic requirements and reviewer notes: Major: No specific major required Cumulative GPA required: No Financial need required: No Student activities, volunteer work required: None required Other special requirements: Interest in creative writing. Applicant must provide a short story of up to ten pages or 3-5 poems (original work only)."
