Program description

"This scholarship is open to female students of Latin American and/or African American descent who reside in Kendall county and are pursuing a degree in education or STEM fields; preference will be given to students with a GPA of 2.0 or above and to students who have completed 10 or more hours of community service. The Dean Hernandez Memorial Scholarship was established to provide support to female students of Latin American and/or African American descent pursuing a degree in education or STEM fields. The scholarship is named after the maternal families of Hernan and Wamecca Rodriguez to honor their commitment to the post-secondary education of their children and grandchildren. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses."
