Program description

"Donald and Janice Svehla were avid supporters of Lincoln Northeast High School and the northeast Lincoln community. They valued a well-rounded experience as well as classroom work and enthusiastically supported academic, fine arts, and athletic programs at Northeast for well over 40 years. The Donald & Janice Svehla Family Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 by their sons, Tom, Ron, Jim, and Dave, all proud graduates of Lincoln Northeast. The goal is to give back to the northeast Lincoln community they loved by providing assistance to students as they further their education. To be eligible you must be a current graduating senior or former graduate from Lincoln Northeast High School, Lincoln, NE and planning to attend any qualified, nonprofit 2- or 4-year college, university, trade school, or technical school. Applicant should demonstrate financial need."
