Program description
"The Dr. Jennifer (“Jen”) Ann Helen Gramer Student Support Fund provides an award to high achieving students in the Departments of History and/or Art History. Completed applications are evaluated using donor criteria and College of Letters & Science criteria . Successful applicants should also have well written essays. In addition, scholarships with a financial need component require a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison. Students who are not current recipients of Letters & Science multi-year scholarships are given priority. This fund was established in loving memory of Dr. Jen Gramer. Dr. Gramer completed her PhD in History at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Her dissertation focused on German art and the history of its migration after World War II. She stayed in Madison, working on campus and touching the lives of many. More information about Dr. Gramer is available online. Apply for the College of Letters & Science Scholarships Application for Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors by using your campus NetID and password and clicking on the “Sign In” button on the top-right corner of this screen. Student financial aid packages can be impacted by scholarship awards. It is recommended that students contact UW’s Office of Student Financial Aid to learn about impact on current aid packages . For more general information about Letters & Science scholarships visit the L&S Scholarships website."

Where this information comes from
This page is published from Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (UW-Madison)'s own public scholarship portal (wisc.academicworks.com), read and verified 2026-09-03. This is a different source from most of this site's listings, which come from IRS Form 990-PF filings — see how we source scholarships. Portals change between cycles, so always confirm current details on the source listing before applying.
Most listings on this site are compiled from the foundation’s own IRS Form 990-PF filing — the public record where foundations that accept applications must state who to contact, how to apply, any deadlines, and any restrictions. Listings under /award/ are a second, separate source: read directly from the foundation’s own public scholarship portal, with a link to that source on every page. Filings are annual and portals change between cycles, so details can change: always confirm the current deadline and requirements with the foundation before applying. This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any foundation listed. Scholarship information here is free; we charge only for optional application coaching, and we never write your application for you.
