Program description

"The Honors Program at RRCC is an academic program open to all full-time students who are interested in developing their capacity for innovation, research, and leadership. Honors requires a commitment to doing – and being – something extra. This means that to pursue this opportunity, you will need to enroll in the introductory level Honors course. This course is only offered in person at the Lakewood Campus. The intro-level Honors course is open to anyone. Students who enroll will receive funds to cover the cost of this introductory course. To continue in Honors past the intro course, students will need to do the following: (1) Successfully complete the Intro Course; (2) have a mentoring discussion with the Honors Director; and (3) Maintain a rolling GPA of 2.75 or above. Students who wish to join Honors should complete this short Expression of Interest. Students who complete an EOI for Fall Semester, 2026 will be contacted no later than September 18, 2026 for a follow-up discussion. The intro honors course begins on September 25, 2026. This is an accelerated seminar. During this period, class will meet for several hours every Friday. There may be occasional required outings or additional meetings. THIS IS AN IN- PERSON CLASS , AND ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED . Students who enroll in Honors receive a small scholarship to offset the credit cost of taking the class. Please be aware, to combat fraud, funds are not disbursed until 2-3 weeks AFTER the start of the class. Where this information comes from

This page is published from Red Rocks Community College (CCCS Foundation)'s own public scholarship portal (rrcc.academicworks.com), read and verified 2026-09-03. This is a different source from most of this site's listings, which come from IRS Form 990-PF filings — see how we source scholarships. Portals change between cycles, so always confirm current details on the source listing before applying.

Most listings on this site are compiled from the foundation’s own IRS Form 990-PF filing — the public record where foundations that accept applications must state who to contact, how to apply, any deadlines, and any restrictions. Listings under /award/ are a second, separate source: read directly from the foundation’s own public scholarship portal, with a link to that source on every page. Filings are annual and portals change between cycles, so details can change: always confirm the current deadline and requirements with the foundation before applying. This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any foundation listed. Scholarship information here is free; we charge only for optional application coaching, and we never write your application for you.
