Program description

"The Emma M. Grzesik Memorial Scholarship is open to students who participate in the TRIO /Student Support Services program. This scholarship was established by an anonymous donor to honor the memory of Emma M. Grzesik. Emma passed away unexpectedly in 2024 while she was enrolled as a student at Waubonsee Community College where she was working towards a degree in photography and graphic design. She was amazing at drawing and loved to draw pictures of horses and wolves and different characters that she created off the top of her head. She loved to hone her craft, always working on improving her drawings. Emma focused the bulk of her energy on her education. She loved going to college and looked forward to all of her new learning opportunities. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses."
